The new PMBOK 5 and PMP/CAPM Exam Updates – when and what?

The Project Management Institute (PMI)® recently released the official dates for when the Project Management Professional (PMP)® and some other of its exams will be updated to the latest standards. Here is what we have learned and our recommendations for studying:

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) is a book published by the Project Management Institute (PMI), outlining a set of standard terminology and guidelines for Project Management. The PMBOK Guide was first published by the PMI as a white paper in 1983 in an attempt to document and standardize generally accepted project management information and practices. The first edition was published in 1996 followed by the second edition in 2000. In 2004, the third Edition was published with major changes from the previous editions. The fourth Edition was released on December 31, 2008.

Another Tragedy Hits Nollywood: Actor, Muyiwa Ademola In Fatal Auto Crash!

One of the actors and producers in Nollywood, Muyiwa Ademola popularly called Ori, has been reported to be involved in a ghastly motor accident a few days ago.

Sheifunmi, who reported the said accident said the scene was indescribable as Muyiwa’s car, we learnt, damaged beyond repair and the prolific producer cum director is being admitted under intensive care.

According to the MTV presenter, “In other news, another Yoruba actor Muyiwa Ademola was also involved in another accident on December 30,2012, fatally injured and receiving treatment.”

In our usual style, Nigeriafilms.com put a call through to one of the veterans in Nollywood, Chief Jide Kosoko, and he said he was not aware of that information, though promised to make some findings for us before tomorrow.

We cannot really state here categorically if information gathered is anything to go by, meanwhile, all effort to reach Muyiwa on phone has been futile as his number was switched off.

Nigeria's first newspaper, Iwe-Irohin, resuscitated after 140 years

Nigeria's first Newspaper, Iwe Irohin, has been resuscitated after 140 years of its demise. The newspaper was founded in 1859 by a missionary named Henry Townsend in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Iwe Irohin was published bi-weekly in Yoruba and English language and ran for about 8 years before its demise in 1867. It's been brought back by the Nigerian Union of Journalists, who launched it's first edition just last week.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s predictions for 2013

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye yesterday January 1st released his annual prophesies for the year 2013.

Pastor Adeboye told his congregation at Redemption Camp that 2013 will be better than last year but explained that there could be more devastating natural disasters like flood if necessary precautionary measures are not taken soonest to avert such calamities.

According to Pastor Adeboye, before the middle of the year, many Nigerians will have reason to say hope rising, adding however, that prayers and supplication be intensified.
