Enugu state Governor, Sullivan Chime flown back to London for medical treatment

Governor of Enugu state, Barrister Sullivan Chime who recently returned to a tumultuous welcome from a medical trip abroad was in the early hours of Sunday flown to London, United Kingdom on similar health ground.

A Source who is privy to the happenings at the Enugu state Government house said the governor had to be flown back to London when his health condition which he had earlier gone to treat became worse. He was reported to have been sneaked from the Enugu government house enroute the London hospital.

The source added that Governor Chime had not fully recovered from his ailment when he was hurriedly discharged from his hospital bed in London and returned to Nigeria. This, the source said was done to douse down the tension arising from his long absence from the state, a development that heated the polity in Enugu state.

The governor had returned to Nigeria in February, after spending 139 days in a London hospital where he was being treated for cancer. He was reported to have sent a correspondence to the Enugu state House of Assembly that he was embarking on an accumulated leave, but was later discovered to be medical trip to London.
