Kidnappers release British expatriate, Christopher Paige

A British expatriate, Christopher Paige, kidnapped in Lagos last Saturday, has been released by his captors.
It was learnt that members of his family were able to secure his release on Tuesday after allegedly paying a ransom.
A senior police officer, who spoke to news men on the condition of anonymity, said the victim returned home unharmed.
He added that police officers attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad were working hard to apprehend the culprits.
“On Tuesday, about 11pm, the victim was released by the kidnappers.
“The family had independently negotiated a ransom with them but I cannot disclose how much was paid. We are however on the trail of the kidnappers,” he said.
